Now that the holiday season is over, it’s time to start looking ahead to warmer weather and spring vacations before the winter blues start to set in.

Using the Wilmington Airport can save time, money and peace of mind on your next travel venture, and routes are available for booking through Labor Day weekend.

With the airport’s new motorcoach service, the possibilities of traveling without having to deal with typical airport traffic are even more expansive.

Here are the flights to book out of ILG and how to use its bus service to Philadelphia to travel big without the stress.

How to shuttle to Philadelphia’s airport

In 2024, Wilmington Airport and American Airlines’ motorcoach company, Landline Co., announced a partnership that would expand the routes available from the Wilmington Airport while also reducing the stress of commuting to and from the Philadelphia Airport.

The process starts with booking a flight through American Airlines using ILG as the departing (or arrival) airport. The booking will indicate that a bus will transport you, in a roughly 50-minute ride, from ILG to PHL’s Terminal F. Following the bus ride, you can depart to the correct terminal and take off from Philadelphia International Airport.

Using this service allows customers to park and go through security at Wilmington Airport rather than the much busier Philly hub.

When making your booking through American Airlines, the time listed on the confirmation will indicate the time your bus will take off to the Philadelphia Airport. The buses take six trips per day, both to and from Philadelphia.

Wilmington to Philadelphia schedule

Each bus seats 35 passengers and offers free WiFi and in-seat power connection. Customers also can receive AAdvantaage miles as a part of American Airlines’ reward membership for using this service.
