Looking for a job? Hawaii Career Expo features more than 150 employers

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Hawaii Career Expo 2024 kicked off Wednesday and features more than 150 employers looking for candidates.

From city and state government jobs to the private sector, event organizers say that many employers will be looking to interview and hire candidates on the spot.

“It’s a great opportunity for job seekers, for students, for anyone that is looking for a job or maybe even a new career,” said Denise Ching, from Star Events Hawaii.

“We set this up where we have application places where you can fill out applications on the spot and many times, we see employers grabbing people for interviews right away.”

Many city departments will be included in the career fair including the Honolulu Police Department.

“We go around in the community see a lot of problems, so we’re looking for problem solvers. We’re looking for people, professional people with a good moral compass who want to serve and make a difference in the community,” said HPD Officer Brandon Cruz.
