Lotte Duty Free strengthens Seoul downtown store fashion offer with Lacoste store
SOUTH KOREA. Lifestyle fashion brand Lacoste has opened a standalone boutique at Lotte Duty Free’s flagship store in Myeong-dong, Seoul.
Located on the ninth floor, the store reflects the brand’s growing popularity among domestic and foreign customers.
The opening also bolsters Lacoste’s presence in Korean travel retail, with existing outlets in Lotte Duty Free’s World Tower, Busan and Jeju locations.
The Myeong-dong branch is the first in the domestic duty-free industry to introduce the brand’s reimagined travel retail concept. Globally, it is the fourth store to feature the updated design, following previous openings at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Madrid airports, and at the cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Hainan.
The boutique features the brand’s famed crocodile logo, illuminated in neon lights on top of a bright-green back wall.
It offers the brand’s best-selling collections and travel retail exclusives.
To celebrate the opening, Lotte Duty Free is offering shoppers a chance to receive free Lacoste card wallets and socks on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the purchase amount.
A Lotte Duty Free official said: “I believe it is very meaningful being the first in the domestic duty-free industry to introduce Lacoste’s new travel retail concept. Lotte Duty Free will continue to strengthen its product line-up to meet customers’ shopping demands and provide customer convenience.”
In addition, Lotte Duty Free is currently holding in-store and online off-season promotional events for various fashion brands, including Lacoste, Ami Paris, Maison Kitsuné and Hope.
Lacoste, Ami Paris and Maison Kitsuné are all offering up to -30% discounts until 31 August. ✈
