Louisiana singer Karen Waldrup advances to the finals of ‘The Voice’
Louisiana’s Karen Waldrup is one step closer to winning “The Voice.”
The 37-year-old singer from Mandeville made her dreams come true when she landed a spot on country duo Dan + Shay’s team back in March.
Now, she’s moving ahead in the competition to the Top 5 against Bryan Olesen and Nathan Chester from Team John Legend, and Josh Sanders and Asher HaVon from Team Reba McEntire.
Monday night, Waldrup was one of four contestants to move ahead in the competition based on audience voting. The other contestants performed live during Monday nights’ episode for the the chance at an instant save for the last open spot.
Waldrup sang “Stay” by Sugarland Sunday night in the semi-finals for America’s vote to get into the finals.
“We knew in our hearts that you would delver like you’ve done this entire competition, and that’s exactly what you did,” her coaches said. “You delivered.”
