• Holiday Sugar Valley Estates announced the senior living facility has won a 2024 Caring Award from caring.com, a senior living referral service. The award was based on reviews from residents and families, according to a news release.

• The Colorado Behavioral Health Administration launched OwnPath Learning Hub, a comprehensive online resource designed to provide free educational courses for behavioral health professionals, crisis and peer professionals, and interested individuals. • HD of Loveland won a share of a multiple award task order contract valued at up to $40,000,000 from the Department of the Interior National Park Service, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, for commercial and institutional building construction.

• HD of Loveland won a federal contract award for $65,464 from the Department of Defense Defense Logistics Agency, Columbus, Ohio, for a parts kit.

• In Situ of Fort Collins won a federal contract award for $26,687 from the Department of Commerce National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Seattle, Wash., for data sondes – ocean habitat monitoring.

• Woodward of Fort Collins won a federal contract award for $740,859 from the U.S. Navy, Mechanicsburg, Pa., for a mechanical actuator.

• Woodward of Fort Collins won a federal contract award for $552,963 from the U.S. Navy, Mechanicsburg, Pa., for a flow control valve.

• Woodward of Fort Collins won a federal contract award for $251,144 from the U.S. Navy, Mechanicsburg, Pa., for a diesel engine governor.

• Five inventors, including Robert Warren of Loveland, have been awarded a patent (No. US 11954370 B2, initially filed Nov. 7, 2022) for “Command queuing.”

• Everlast Climbing Industries of Minneapolis, Minn., has been assigned a patent (No. US 11955744 B2, initially filed Sept. 9, 2020) developed by  Christian Stockinger of Loveland and Vwodek Bednarski of Arvada for “Stackable deformable electrical connector system.”

• Hach Co. of Loveland has been assigned a patent (No. US 11953480 B2, initially filed June 27, 2019) developed by Angella Nicholle Greenawalt of Loveland and Darren Kent MacFarland of Windsor for “Aqueous peracetic acid detection.”

• Hach Co. of Loveland has been assigned a patent (No. US 11953496 B2, initially filed Aug. 19, 2020) developed by four inventors, including Michael Jonathan Tschampl of Windsor, for “Chemistry/instrument parameter color maintenance.”

• Keysight Technologies Inc. of Santa Rosa, Calif., has been assigned a patent (No. US 11956274 B1, initially filed March 2, 2021) developed by Joseph Eugene Mueller of Loveland and Keith Charles Thompson of Fort Collins, for “System and method for implementing a secure configuration of controllers and instruments in a networked system.”

• Micron Technology Inc. of Boise, Idaho has been assigned a patent (No. US 11953980 B2, initially filed Dec. 1, 2022) developed by three inventors, including Bruce A. Liikanen of Berthoud, for “Memory sub-system with dynamic calibration using component-based function(s).”

• Micron Technology Inc. of Boise, Idaho has been assigned a patent (No. US 11955194 B2, initially filed April 11, 2023) developed by three inventors, including Bruce A. Liikanen of Berthoud, for “Tracking and refreshing state metrics in memory sub-systems.”

• Water Pik Inc. of Fort Collins has been assigned a patent (No. US 11951500 B2, initially filed Sept. 21, 2021) developed by Michael J. Quinn of Windsor, for “Showerhead with feedback assembly.”

• Tuesday, April 23, Runza Restaurants will conduct the seventh annual Feed the Need fundraiser; 10% of sales from all locations all day will benefit hunger and food insecurity related efforts in each Runza community. Funds from sales at the Loveland Runza location,  2204 N. Lincoln Ave., will benefit the KidsPak Program.

• Innosphere Ventures will host an in-person Lunch & Learn with Dr. Osvaldo Buccafusca at  noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at Innosphere,  320 E. Vine Drive, Fort Collins. He will discuss design for manufacturing (DFM), which addresses the ability to deliver a product with the required specifications at the right price point. The talk will provide an overview of manufacturing metrics and related DFM considerations and methodologies with some examples. Lunch is provided.
