LSCP to host inaugural small business celebration

MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) – The Lake Superior Community Partnership (LSCP) announced Friday the upcoming debut of the inaugural Marquette County Small Business Celebration.

According to a press release from the LSCP, the event is set to take place on Friday, Nov. 1, at The Mather, located at 107 E Canda Street in Ishpeming.

The event will recognize and celebrate the vital role that small businesses play in the community. Small Business Awards will be presented to three outstanding small businesses, one from each district of the county, as well as a Small Business Champion, recognizing an individual who has made a significant impact on the success of local small businesses.

Nominations for the Small Business Champion Award and outstanding small businesses across Marquette County are now open.

“We’re very excited to bring this celebration to Marquette County,” said Lauren Rotundo, LSCP’s Small Business Promotions Specialist. “Not only will we recognize the exceptional businesses and individuals we have in our area, but it will also showcase the West End in a way we haven’t done before.”

The evening will feature heavy appetizers provided by Mama Russo’s, Midtown Bakery, and Doozers, as well as a cash bar and an opportunity to mingle with business leaders and community members.

In the spirit of the season, attendees are encouraged to participate in the festivities by wearing Halloween costumes.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and organizations looking to support this important community event. Organizations that are unable to sponsor are invited to donate a raffle basket.
