Lucky Rabbit encourages shopping Downtown during First Saturday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) – The first Saturday of every month is a party in Downtown Hattiesburg. July was no exception.

A portion of Mobile Street was blocked off in front of The Lucky Rabbit for families and shoppers to try different vendors and food trucks.

The Lucky Rabbit is a known hotspot in the Hub City, but the store especially looks forward to showcasing all of the hidden gems in the city on First Saturdays.

“This is definitely our biggest and busiest Saturday of the month. That’s just because we have the vendors and we are getting people involved. They want to come shop downtown. They want to shop the street,” said Emily Bennett, “We have free mimosas that we promote as well. That’ll get some people out. It’s just a really family-friendly event. We want to get people drawn back downtown just to grow the community and help small businesses.”

The Lucky Rabbit was one of several businesses in the area participating in First Saturday, working to promote Downtown.
