Lucy Mecklenburgh In Workout Gear Showcases New Fitness Studio

The Only Way Is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh is excited to showcase her new fitness studio on her social media. Mecklenburgh, 32, shared a video of herself wearing two-piece workout gear, working up to the big reveal. “It’s been months in the making, but I can now reveal my beautiful new workout studio for @rwl! I have some very exciting new fitness programmes coming soon, so I just HAD to refresh to really make what’s coming even more exciting! What do you think…? 😍” she captioned the post. Here’s how Mecklenburgh stays fit, happy, and full of good advice for fitness beginners.

Mecklenburgh changed up her workouts after having children. “I used to just want hardcore HIIT sessions, but that’s different now,” she told Health & Wellbeing. “Now I have this admiration for my body, and I want to just make it really strong and feel powerful and repair it. So I’ve been doing more breath work, Pilates and exercises with slower movements, and I feel much more in tune with my body. And this is reflected with what we offer in the app. We go through phases and we want the app to be there for all these different phases.”

Shuttershock

Mecklenburgh changed her habits with the help of trainer Cecilia Harris. “Cecilia told me to eat breakfast, so that was a huge part for me,” she told Express UK. “That little change made such a difference to my life. I had an omelet every morning and that automatically stopped my tea and biscuits at 11 o’clock. We all know how to eat well, we just decide to eat other things. I eat three times a day or sometimes two times a day. As long as you’re eating a healthy balanced diet, eating vegetables and protein. I have to have breakfast. I don’t like to eat too late at night, it doesn’t work for me. I also can’t eat really early in the morning. There is no rule. There is no one fix-all.”

Mecklenburgh lives a balanced life with room for indulgences. “One of the things that Cecilia has taught me over the years is that it doesn’t have to be all or nothing with your food or fitness,” she told Health & Wellbeing. “Cecilia is really motivated with exercise – every day she gets up and she trains. But she also loves a glass of wine so she’s got that real balance. And that’s inspired me to realize that it’s not just about ‘good’ and ‘bad’ labels – it’s about doing what you love and what makes you feel good.”

Mecklenburgh is incredibly proud of her Results With Lucy app. “It’s crazy actually,” she told Health & Wellbeing. “We’re just really proud because we were the first app of this kind, and a lot of people doubted us. But what we’ve created and how we’ve evolved over the years is incredible. We’ve got such an amazing platform now ready to support women no matter where they are in their life – whether they’re pregnant, going through the menopause, aiming to lose weight or just want to get fit and feel more positive.”

Mecklenburgh has good advice for fitness beginners. “Change one thing at a time, don’t overwhelm yourself,” she told Express UK. “For me, it wasn’t a massive weight loss journey but I did lose a bit of weight and toned up and felt fitter and healthier as a result. Those little changes make a massive difference. Every week, add a little change. Swap milky sugary tea to a herbal tea, go walking, do fitness every week. Add little changes into your life that make a massive difference in the long run. It doesn’t overwhelm you if you’re a beginner.”
