M4 MacBook Pro With 10-Core CPU, 10-Core GPU, Paired With 16GB Unified RAM & 512GB Storage Is Available For $7,500 On An Online Russian Marketplace Listing
The month of November is a few weeks away, meaning that Apple needs to have an excellent cover story of how its M4 MacBook Pro was leaked before the official announcement that will reportedly kick off next month. After the portable Mac was reviewed by a Russian YouTuber, who also showcased its performance by running a Geekbench 6 benchmark, posting respectable single-core and multi-core scores, the machine with the exact same configuration is now listed on Avito, an online Russian marketplace. As for the price, it can be yours for a ridiculous $7,500.
A private Facebook group was likely the source of all the M4 MacBook Pro leaks, and it is possible that various transactions took place there too
A listing was shown by Twitter user @aaplpro on X, with the Space Black finish of the M4 MacBook Pro having gone on sale on Avito for the price of $7,500. For this hefty sum, buyers will receive a unit kitted out with a chipset sporting a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, along with 16GB of unified RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive. For those wondering, if we use direct currency conversion, the 720,000₽ listing price, or 720,000 Russian rubles, is roughly $7,477.08, making it an expensive product, even by Apple’s standards.
Then again, it is no surprise that the M4 MacBook Pro would fetch a ludicrous premium, as there are 25 days remaining for Apple to make its announcement official. Until then, who knows what the extent of these leaks will be, but at least we know where they originated from. Earlier, we reported that the retail box of the portable Mac was doing the rounds in a private Facebook group, and while some questioned the legitimacy of the images, it was later revealed that various units were being sold in that group.
It remains to be see if any more listings pop up on Avito, because according to tipster ShrimpApplePro, one unnamed seller claimed that he had 200 units of the unreleased M4 MacBook Pro available in stock, making it quite a major warehouse leak. For now, Apple’s hands will be full in controlling the damage as much as it can, but if any more details come through, we will update our readers, so stay tuned.
