In the early hours this morning, Mars moved into Taurus, where it’ll stay until late July. With the planet of action in the most steadfast of the signs, this is a time to see anything you’ve started through to the finish line. If progress seems impossibly slow, or if you’re not getting the results you hoped for, keep going. Sometimes, what you need most isn’t luck or skill but sheer determination. You’ll be amazed at what you can make happen by refusing to give up. In the meantime, find the weekly horoscope for each zodiac sign, below.

When everything feels like a struggle, it’s easy to start spiraling about all the “wrong” choices you’ve made. You tell yourself that your future would be brighter if you had only studied harder, learned different skills, invested more in certain relationships and less in others. Maybe then, you wouldn’t be so stressed. In reality, life is just hard sometimes, and would be no matter what. But you don’t need to shift in a radically different direction this week; all you have to do is work with what you have. You’re already equipped with the tools you need.

You’ve been trying hard to relax lately, to be flexible and open to the world, but you’re not finding it easy. You might decide this week that it’s time to give up on being “chill” and to start asserting yourself again. If you’re sick of letting other people set the terms of the conversation, make your voice heard. If you feel like you’re always bending over backward for everyone around you, remind them that you have needs, too. It’s important to remember that while you can’t control everything, you still get a say.

People tend to underestimate you. They assume there’s nothing beneath your good-natured surface, or they take your friendly demeanor as a sign that you can’t or won’t stand up for yourself. It gets frustrating, and sometimes all you want is to set the record straight by kicking up a fuss, demanding to be taken seriously. This week isn’t the time to worry about what anybody else thinks of you. Truly: Their opinions do not matter. What’s important is that you know who you are, and that even if you aren’t being recognized for it (yet!) you’re living in a way you can be proud of.

It can be scary, sometimes, to own to your desires. Maybe you worry others will think your plans are laughable; maybe, deep down, you don’t believe in your own worthiness. You imagine it’s safer to keep your ambitions a secret — that way, nobody can discourage you or doubt you. The trouble is that nobody can help you, either. Ultimately, nothing good happens when you try to hide for too long. So this week, tell your friends what you’re working toward, what you’ve been dreaming about. It isn’t foolish to want to do great things with your life, so stop acting like it’s something to be ashamed of.

You have the opportunity to make huge strides in your working life this week, but progress doesn’t happen on its own. You’ve got to take action. This might mean asking for what you need or applying for an opportunity that seems like a reach. Maybe it means having an uncomfortable conversation with somebody who hasn’t been treating you right. Much as you may want to keep the peace (or simply avoid the hassle) this isn’t the time to shy away from conflict. Your job is to fight for yourself, not to politely fall in line.

No matter how even-tempered you usually are, you’re likely to feel combative this week. Other people’s words rub you the wrong way, your own routines feel stifling, and the world at large, filled with cruelty and injustice, has become intolerable to you. Remember to choose your battles — your energy is powerful, not infinite. If you try to get involved in every single issue and fight that comes your way, you’ll burn out fast. Let some of the small stuff go. Be brave and principled, but be smart, too.

You value your community, but lately, some of the people in it have been driving you to distraction. You’re sick of everybody’s petty dramas and competing egos. It’s tempting to withdraw completely, to turn your back on all the tension and turmoil and go it alone. If you need to carve out some alone time to recharge and recenter yourself this week, make it a priority — but don’t imagine that solitude is a long-term solution. The answer isn’t to turn away from conflict, but to commit to finding a way through it together.

You’re often drawn to people who are every bit as driven as you are, with personalities strong enough to match your own. But while this leads to friendships and relationships that are profound and beautiful, it can also lead to intractable conflict. It’s impossible to resolve anything when both parties are so stubborn neither will yield an inch. If you’re stuck in this kind of conflict, think creatively about how to shake things loose. It’s not about giving up or giving in, but about finding a place where genuine listening and forward movement become possible again.

You’ve likely been feel trapped recently. Maybe you can point to specific problems that are burdening you; maybe it’s a broader, more existential sense that you’re not where you’re supposed to be, that there should be something more than this. Either way, the worst thing you can do this week is sit around brooding over it. Find an outlet for your frustrated energy. You need to move, interact with new people, and participate in the world around you. There’s no way to think your way out of this feeling; you have to act.

It’s hard to muster up the motivation to do your job this week. Your mind keeps wandering, and you’re plodding through tasks that would ordinarily be a breeze. You’ve got plenty of energy for fun socializing and your own creative projects — you just don’t have it in you to care deeply about work. Don’t try to force it. Instead, for now, give yourself permission to do the minimum you can get away with. Save the rest of your energy for what you’re genuinely drawn to.

Conflicts you thought you’d settled long ago may rear their heads again this week; wounds you thought had healed may reopen. It’s annoying that progress takes so long — even worse when it’s undone. There are some lessons you need to keep learning, over and over. But that doesn’t mean you’re spinning your wheels. You’ve been growing and getting stronger this whole time, and you’re wiser and braver now than you’ve ever been. The challenges don’t stop coming (that’s just what it means to be alive), but you have the skills and support you need to meet whatever comes your way.

You imagine that if you could direct all of your energy toward a single goal, you’d be unstoppable. But you don’t have that kind of laser focus, at least not at this moment. Instead, your attention is scattered. You want a hundred different futures, you want to be everywhere at once, you want to experience everything the world has to offer. This isn’t a bad thing; it’s how you become a well-rounded person, someone with lots of interesting stories to tell. Try to prioritize. You can do a lot at once, but you can’t do everything, so decide what matters most.
