Man arrested in connection with Montgomery business robbery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A suspect is in custody after a Wednesday morning business robbery in Montgomery, according to the Montgomery Police Department.

Wednesday just before 10:30 a.m., Montgomery police responded to the 2900 block of Forbes Drive in reference to a robbery.

On scene, witnesses said a suspect entered the business, demanded money, then fled on foot. There were no injuries during the incident.

Later that day, MPD identified Jerry Wright, Jr., 28, as a suspect in the case and charged him with first-degree robbery.

Wright is currently being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

No further information is available in this ongoing investigation.
