Man attends fashion show, ends up becoming “Rihanna’s bodyguard”

Most friendship groups have “that friend” who has the gift of gab and always ends up in a crazy situation, like Sador, who attended a fashion show as a plus-one and ended up mingling with A-listers.

In a viral TikTok video posted by David (@trillprime), which has received 2.5 million views, Sador, a model who is in his early 20s, can be seen walking alongside Rihanna and A$AP Rocky at the rapper’s debut at Paris Fashion Week on June 21.

The text layered over the footage briefly explains: “I take my best friend to a show. We lose each other, and 20 minutes later, he’s suddenly Rihanna’s bodyguard.”

Newsweek spoke to Sador, who said he attended the event with a friend, but it wasn’t long before they went their separate ways.

Sador, who attended a Paris fashion show as a plus-one, is seen walking with Rihanna’s security team and posing for a selfie with the singer. “She was surrounded by cameras, and I blocked them so…

“That’s when all the madness started,” he said, adding that his friends didn’t see him again until he was shielding the 36-year-old singer from paparazzi.

“She was surrounded by cameras, and I blocked them so she could walk through,” he told Newsweek. “I’m 6 feet, 9 inches so my height helped protect her.

“The security guards and Rihanna knew I was there, and they were cool with it,” he continued. “I spoke to her too, which was strange since I’ve only ever seen her on TV or online before. I remained calm and collected, though. She was a very humble woman.”

Even though the memorable moment happened during the summer, Sador’s friend David uploaded it to TikTok on September 20.

The clip starts with footage from A$AP Rocky’s official AWGE fashion event before the catwalk begins. (AWGE is a creative agency founded by the rapper.) This is followed by Sador walking with the celebrities. The video ends with a selfie video filmed by Sador, who uses the handle @sador27 on Instagram, alongside the Barbadian singer.

He has also shared online a selection of clips showing the pair posing for the camera, Rihanna saying his name and shots of him escorting her into a building.

So far, the iconic moment has gathered almost 450,000 likes, and many users have flocked to the comments section to sing Sador’s praises.

“Friends like this always get far in life because how did [you] even end up there,” asked one user. Another wrote: “[The] only way to meet an icon is by exhibiting iconic behaviour.”

A third commenter said: “I feel there’s 3 factors here that sold it. The Clothes, The Height, and The Vibe. He could pass off as like the bodyguard/assistant to rihanna with the style and everything.”

Another praised “the way the actual security team just gave him his space to do his thing.”
