Man Charged With Theft At Retro Fitness In Raritan

RARITAN, NJ — A man was charged with theft of a wallet from Retro Fitness in Raritan.

Jaqwe Bogar, 29, of East Orange, was charged with theft, credit card fraud and identity theft.

On Aug. 19, Raritan Officers went to the Retro Fitness on Route 206 for a theft of a wallet.

The wallet contained numerous credit cards which were used at various businesses in Raritan,
Somerville, Hillsborough and Elizabeth, said Raritan Police Lt. Everett Holt.

The majority of the items purchased at the various locations included cigarettes, alcohol and gift cards totaling around $600.

Through various investigative means and with the help of the Brielle, Union Township and
Hanover Township Police Departments, Bogar was positively identified as the suspect.

It was also learned that Bogar has numerous outstanding warrants for similar incidents throughout the state, said Holt.
