Man Found Dead Inside Vehicle in Newark Shopping Center Parking Lot

Authorities in Newark are investigating the death of a man found unresponsive in a vehicle parked at a shopping center on Wednesday afternoon.According to Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé, police responded to a call at approximately 4:01 p.m. regarding an unresponsive man inside a vehicle at the ShopRite parking lot on Jones Street, near Springfield Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found the man inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at 4:23 p.m.

The State Regional Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.While the investigation remains ongoing, Director Frage stated that foul play is not suspected.
