Man jailed in multi-agency probe, $200K and gambling machines seized

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF) — A man is in jail after a money laundering investigation conducted by multiple agencies.

29-year-old Mayur Patel was taken into custody on charges for operating a gambling house, possessing criminal tools, and engaging in pattern of corrupt activity, according to Cynthia James, Kettering Police public information officer.

Police say they discovered over $200,000 and numerous gambling machines during a search warrant at the “Internet Cafe” on the 2000 block of South Dixie Highway.

Police say this is a result of a six month multi-jurisdictional investigation that is still ongoing.

Patel is currently in the Kettering Jail.
