Man shot, killed inside business in Howell; shooter arrested at scene
A man has been shot and killed inside of a business in Howell.
The fatal shooting occurred on Friday (June 28) at 5:30 p.m. in the 100 block of West Grand River Avenue.
Officials from the Howell Police Department said they found the Caucasian man deceased inside the building with a gunshot wound.
Police say the shooter has been arrested, but they have secured the scene as it is expected to be an active crime scene for several hours while the investigation is conducted.
Howell officials emphasized that there was no threat to the public, that the shooting did not occur near the Balloonfest event, and that it was in no way connected to the event.
The shooting seemed to be isolated, and all subjects involved are currently cooperating with the investigation.
