Man shot, killed inside Howell business

HOWELL, Mich. (WILX) – A man is dead after being shot inside a Howell business on Friday evening, reports NBC affiliate WDIV.

Police were sent to the 100 block of West Grand River Ave around 5:30 p.m. There, officers discovered a man dead with a gunshot wound.

Police arrested the shooter and secured the scene. Officials say there’s no threat to the public and that the incident was isolated.

The shooting occurred during the local Balloonfest, but officials assured the public that the shooting was completely unrelated.

All subjects are “cooperating,” police told WDIV.
