Manassas Uno Pizzeria Closes Near Shopping Center Slated For Redevelopment

MANASSAS, VA — A restaurant in Manassas has closed in an area expected to see a transformation with redevelopment.

Uno Pizzeria & Grill at 10701 Bulloch Drive in Manassas announced the closure with a sign posted outside. The Manassas location is no longer listed as a location on the Uno Pizzeria & Grill website.

“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we must close our doors, as our lease has run out,” the sign read. “It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve you for the past 25 years.”

Uno Pizzeria specializes in Chicago-style deep dish pizza and other menu items. The chain encouraged customers to visit other locations, which include Merrifield at 3058 Gate House Plaza, Falls Church, VA, and Kingstowne at 5935 Kingstowne Town Center, Alexandria, VA.

The Uno Pizzeria & Grill was next to the Parkridge Center, a shopping center with redevelopment plans. Willard Retail had gotten rezoning approval that would allow up to 363 townhomes and stacked condos in late 2023, according to the Washington Business Journal. In July, Willard Retail provided part of the land with the Regal movie theater and part of a parking lot to developer Hines in a sale. The developer intends to build 162 residential units.

Remaining residential units could be built on a portion of the remaining Parkridge Center. The property owner could sell part of the shopping center east of Old Navy for redevelopment in the years to come.
