Mangia! Italian American Festival serves up food and fun in downtown Akron
The taste and sounds of Italy will fill the streets of downtown Akron.
The Italian American Festival will open Thursday and run through Saturday.
The festival put on by the Council of Italian American Societies of Summit County will feature entertainment and food vendors on Main Street between State and Church streets.
Admission is free to the festival that runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day.
What entertainment will be at Akron’s Italian American Festival?
The Italian American Festival in downtown Akron will feature three days of entertainment.
Thursday’s entertainment includes:
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Avanti
- 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Danny Merendino – Accordion (Roaming)
- 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Harvest – Neil Young Tribute (Main Street Stage)
- 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.: Disco Inferno (Main Street Stage)
Friday’s entertainment includes:
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Avanti (Main Street Stage)
- 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Danny Merendino – Accordion (Roaming)
- 8:30 p.m.: ABBAmania ABBA Tribute (Lock 3 Stage on West Bowery)
- 7 to 10 p.m.: Ray Mass EuroRhythms (Main Street Stage)
Saturday’s entertainment includes:
- 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Avanti (Main Street Stage)
- 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.: Danny Merendino – Accordion (Roaming)
- 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.: G-4 Italian Band (Main Street Stage)
- 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.: Jersey Beats – Frankie Valli Tribute (Lock 3 Stage on West Bowery)
- 10 p.m. Fireworks
Where to park for Akron’s Italian American Festival
There is parking in Akron’s city parking decks.
All city decks are $2 after 6 p.m. on Thursday. The city decks are free after 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
The State Street Parking Deck is $2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and free after 6 p.m. on Friday.
