Martha Stewart Has Surprising Diss For Ryan Reynolds: ‘I’m Going To Get In Trouble’
Martha Stewart is not particularly amused by neighbor Ryan Reynolds.
The lifestyle guru, who lives near the “Deadpool” star and his wife, fellow actor Blake Lively, in Bedford, New York, revealed that Reynolds is “not so funny” off-screen.
Stewart appeared on “Rent Free,” a promotional game show from credit card loyalty program Bilt Rewards, to guess how program members responded when asked, “What celebrities would be the most fun to hang out with?”
She correctly guessed that Reynolds made the cut, then skewered him as a choice.
“You want to know something?” she said in a clip shared Saturday by TMZ. “He’s not so funny in real life. No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious.”
She said she would remove Reynolds from the list of celebs and replace him with “somebody else” ― specifically, George Clooney, “because he’s fun.”
She conceded that Reynolds has some talent, though.
“He’s a good actor,” she said. “He can act funny. But he isn’t funny.”
Stewart added: “I’m going to get in trouble. He’s my neighbor.”
After the comments went viral online, Reynolds responded on social media with remarks that could support or refute Stewart’s argument, depending on your perspective.
“I’d disagree with her,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so.”
