Marvel’s ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Tops U.K. Home Entertainment Sales Chart For Second Week Through Oct. 16 – Media Play News

Marvel Studios’ “R”-rated box office hit Deadpool & Wolverine remained atop the Official Film Chart, the U.K.’s home entertainment sales chart for the second consecutive week through Oct. 16.

The Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman-starrer outsold the combined Top 19 other movie release on digital retail sales alone.

Meanwhile, Paramount Home Entertainment’s A Quiet Place: Day One returned to the Top 10 at No. 2 after its release on DVD, Blu-ray Disc and 4K UHD Blu-ray. The title topped Lionsgate U.K.’s release of Dracula-themed supernatural period horror The Last Voyage of the Demeter at No. 3. The storyline finds a hapless ship crew dealing with the terrifying while shipping 24 mysterious wooden crates to the U.K.

Separately, Sony Pictures Home entertainment’s Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire at No. 4, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment’s Despicable Me 4 (5), 20th Century Studios’ Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (6), Pixar Animation’s Inside Out 2 (7), Universal’s Twisters (8) and Sony’s Bad Boys: Ride or Die at No. 10 remained on the chart.

Finally, horror movie Longlegs re-entered the chart at No. 9 — the movie’s highest ranking since finishing No. 4 six weeks ago.
