Massage business scam in Big Spring

BIG SPRING, Texas (KOSA) – A massage business called ‘Comfort Home Mobile Door-in Massage & Spa’ or ‘Comfort Massage & Spa’ is using a fake phone number and pictures of a local business called ‘Back In Motion Chiropractic’ to appear as a legitimate business, but according to the Big Spring Police Department ‘Comfort Home Mobile Door-in Massage & Spa’ or ‘Comfort Massage & Spa’ is a scam.

Multiple reviews for the business reveal that people are asked to pay for massage services in advance and later show up to their appointment to find that the business does not exist.

Big Spring Police shared a list of tips that could help protect people from this scam, or similar scams:

Verify Credentials: Only book appointments with licensed and verified massage therapists. Check reviews and ratings from trusted sources.
No Deposits: Be wary of any service that asks for a deposit before providing the service.
Research the Address: Before sending any money, verify the address of the business to ensure it is legitimate.
Report Suspicious Activity: If you suspect a scam, report it to the Big Spring Police Department immediately.
