Maya Train announces travel packages for national and international tourists – Riviera Maya News

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — A campaign of Maya Train tourist packages has been released with the train’s first year anniversary. The national and international tourist travel packages are being offered in conjunction with Tren Maya companies.

Participating companies include Mexican companies Grupo Aeroportuario, Ferroviario, de Servicios Auxiliares y Conexos Olmeca – Maya – Mexica, S.A. de C.V., the Tulum airport managing company, along with AIFA (Felipe Ángeles International Airport) and airline Mexicana de Aviación.

Oscar David Lozano Águila, the General Director of the Maya Train, announced that the 10 tourist packages offer a memorable and personalized experience to travelers of the Maya Train through the states of Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.

Travelers leaving the AIFA on Mexicana de Aviación will receive preferential air rates. They will also receive discounts in Maya Train hotels in Tulum, Chichén Itzá, Calakmul and Edzná.

He says the packages will include departures and returns to and from AIFA, flights on Mexicana de Aviación with a 25 percent discount and flexibility to change dates and times.

“They include arrival at the airports of Palenque, Campeche, Tulum, Chetumal, Mérida and Cancun in addition to Maya Train transfers with a special 50 percent discount for national tourists and preferential prices in 4-star Maya Train Hotels,” he said.

Oscar David Lozano Águila described the packages “Jewels of Mexican Culture” and “Route of Wonders”, where people will be able to discover the colonial charm of the southeast and one of the seven wonders of the modern world.

As an example, he said the prices for those two packages are 14,512.00 pesos and 8,916.00 pesos respectively, which he added, are cheaper than the market prices.

He says soon, the packages and services will be accessible from online websites including visitmexico.com, trenmaya.gob.mx, hotelesgafsacomm.com, mexicana.gob.mx and travel agencies. Once integrated, travelers will be able to choose from 10 different Tren Maya travel packages.

On December 15, President Claudia Sheinbaum inaugurated the remaining two Tren Maya circuits in the state’s capital city of Chetumal. That inauguration opened all seven routes, marking the operations of all 1,554 kilometers of the Maya Train.
