Mayor: Owner of Surfside Beach dispensary to appeal suspended business license

SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Officials in Surfside Beach will soon hear an appeal from the owner of a local dispensary after their business license was suspended.

Surfside Beach Mayor Robert Krouse said on Facebook the owner of Delta Dispensary has exercised their right to an appeal before town council, which will be held on Oct. 10 at 3:30 p.m.

The appeal comes nearly a month after two people were arrested following an investigation into what police called “the sale of unregulated and untested substances represented as hemp.”

Krouse added that the hearing will be open to the public.
