Meet Mike Tyson’s 7 children
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
Mike Tyson may be a legendary boxing champion, but he is also a father. Over the years, Tyson — the youngest boxer in history to win a heavyweight title — has welcomed seven children with four different women.
In November 2024, the professional boxer stepped into the ring with Jake Paul. Tyson briefly spoke about his children at the sporting event, which was live-streamed on Netflix.
He said his family means “everything” to him and then lovingly joked that they shouldn’t mess with him. “But my kids, to my children… they better watch the next time they talk crap to me,” Tyson quipped. He then faced the camera and told his kiddos, “I love you very much,” before bursting out laughing.
Learn about Tyson’s kids below.
Mikey Lorna Tyson (Born July 1990)
The New York native’s firstborn child is daughter Mikey Lorna Tyson, whom he welcomed with Kimberly Scarborough in July 1990. Mike passed on a version of his first name to her, but she seemingly goes by “Miki.”
Miki is a singer-songwriter and dropped a song titled “Love Me Again” in October 2024. The iconic athlete posted a photo of her on Instagram late that month, promoting her single. Mike captioned his post, “My daughter @missmikityson’s new song. So proud. She’s an incredible writer and singer. Make sure you follow her page for more music.”
Ramsey Tyson (Born February 1996)
In February 1996, “Iron Mike” welcomed his second child, Ramsey Tyson, into the world with Monica Turner —a little over a year before the pair tied the knot in April 1997.
Ramsey is transmasculine and nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns. In November 2020, Ramsey spoke to Them and mentioned that while their dad has misgendered them, “he didn’t mean it maliciously.” Ramsey also noted they talked to the lineal champion “about gender identity very briefly,” explaining that it’s ok with them if Mike is not “perfect at pronouns.”
Amir Tyson (Born August 1997)
Son Amir Tyson, born in August 1997, is the second and last last child Mike had with Turner before she filed for divorce in 2002.
While Amir does not step into the ring like his famous father, he sits on the sidelines, working as a sports broadcaster. Amir even was a commentator for his dad’s hyped-up November 2024 fight against Paul.
Amir took to his Instagram to post about his hosting duties, writing, “Super excited to be working this event with an amazing team for the biggest and most viewed boxing fight of the 21st century. Thank you @netflix.”
Miguel Lión Tyson (Born April 2002)
In April 2002, Mike had a son with then-girlfriend Sol Xochitl.
According to his website, Miguel is based in Los Angeles but works as a professional travel photographer and videographer.
“Because of my innate passion for exploring life on earth, I spend my time capturing the beauty of the world in unique and creative ways,” he wrote on the website. “Whether I’m working with companies internationally or on a personal endeavor, my goal with my work is to break physical, mental, and scientific boundaries that ultimately give people a deeper connection of our world’s nature, culture, and life.”
Exodus Sierra Tyson (Born March 2005)
Mike’s second child with Xochitl, Exodus Tyson, was born in March 2005.
Exodus tragically passed away in May 2009 at the age of 4 years old after her neck got wrapped in a treadmill cord by accident at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. According to ABC, Mike was in Las Vegas but immediately hopped on a plane to Phoenix.
In an October 2009 interview on Oprah, Mike got emotional speaking about the accident, saying, “I don’t know what happened. I don’t want to know. Because if I know, somebody’s going to be blamed for it. And if somebody’s to blame for it, there will be a problem.”
Milan Miyla Tyson (Born December 2008)
Mike welcomed his daughter Milan Miyla Tyson, with his then-girlfriend — and current wife — Lakiha Spicer, into the world in December 2008. Mike wed Spicer just days after his daughter Exodus passed away in 2009.
Milan took after her father’s athletic abilities as she is a rising tennis star, even getting coached by champion Serena Williams‘ former coach, Patrick Mouratoglou. In August 2018, the father-daughter duo spoke to Tennis Channel during the US Open tournament.
When asked on-air what lessons Mike was trying to teach his little on, he stated, “You have to have the discipline and desire, know that sometimes when you want to be the best in the world at anything, there’s going to be some disappointment, and you can’t get discouraged or frustrated. You know that your day is going to come one day,”
Morocco Elijah Tyson (Born January 2011)
In January 2011, Spicer gave birth to her and Mike’s son, Morocco Elijah Tyson.
Morocco, a huge fan of Kevin Hart, got to meet the comedian when he appeared on the boxing star’s Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson podcast.
Mike captioned his post, “My son, Morocco, is a big fan of Kevin Hart and it was super cool surprising him when Kevin came to Hotboxin.”
