Men’s Tennis Travels to Michigan State for ITA Midwest Regionals – Illinois State University Athletics

EAST LANSING, Mich.–  The Illinois State men’s tennis team travels to Michigan State University for the ITA Midwest Regionals from Oct. 10-14. This weekend will be the conclusion of the 2024-25 fall season. 

LAST TIME OUT

The Redbirds secured four doubles victories and one doubles win at the 67th Men’s Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of San Diego. Wins came from Jett Leong, Tomas Valencia (x2), and Caden Scarlett. The lone doubles victory was the pair of Adrian Dibildox and Tin Ostro.

TWO TITLES FOR SCARLETT/VALENCIA

The doubles pair of Caden Scarlett and Tomas Valencia have claimed two flight championships during the first two weekends of the fall season. The pair collected titles at the River Forest Intercollegiate and on the home courts for the 7th Annual Redbird Invitational.

THE FIELD

This weekend’s competition will feature a total of 15 schools. This includes Illinois State (SUMMIT), Ohio State (B1G), Michigan (B1G), Michigan State (B1G), Illinois (B1G), Northwestern (B1G), Wisconsin (B1G), Notre Dame (ACC), Toledo (MAC), Cleveland State (Horizon), Youngstown State (Horizon), Eastern Illinois (OVC), UIC (MAC), DePaul (Big East) and Western Michigan (MAC)
