MGM reports $23.1 million November gambling take
SPRINGFIELD — MGM Springfield took in $23.1 million in gross gambling revenue from slots and table games in November, according to numbers released Friday by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
That $23.1 million was up from the $22.1 million a month before and the highest take since $23 million in August. The number was $21.4 million a year ago in November 2023.
Casinos are seasonal businesses.
Taken together, Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville, MGM Springfield and Encore Boston Harbor in Everett generated approximately $100.86 million in gross gambling revenue, according to the report issued Friday.
Also, in-person and online sports betting generated approximately $80.47 million in taxable sports wagering revenue for November.
Plainridge reported $14.6 million in slot revenue. There are no table games.
Encore Boston Harbor reported $63.1 in gross gambling revenue from both tables and slots.
MGM Springfield’s in-person sports betting operation reported a $1.5 million handle — which means the total amount bet — in November, about even with the last few months but down from $2.9 million in betting handle a year ago in November 2023.
