MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Three people are dead, including a child, after a Miami-Dade shooting, which a source close to the investigation said occurred in the drive-thru of a Chase bank.

The bank is located in a shopping plaza off Bird Road and Southwest 152nd Avenue.

According to the source, two vehicles were waiting for the bank’s drive-thru to open when a male in one vehicle got out and fatally shot a husband, mother and toddler in the vehicle that was parked next to him in the drive-thru.

The gunman then fatally shot himself, the source said.

According to the source, the motive remains unclear and it’s also unclear whether the gunman and the victims knew each other.

One Local 10 News viewer told Local 10 in an email that she was attending a Pilates class at the Kendall West shopping plaza at 7:30 a.m. when the instructor announced that he heard about 15 shots.

She said he then locked the door and moved everyone to the back of the studio.

A Local 10 News crew is headed to the scene to gather more details.
