Miami, Las Vegas, D.C., and Austin Are Getting More Flights to London — What to Know

As the summer travel season comes to a close, many travelers are getting a jumpstart on next summer’s travel planning. 

British Airways recently revealed it will operate its highest number of flights from North America to London in the summer of 2025, which will make it easier than ever for travelers to fly across the pond. 

The carrier will increase the volume of flights by 28 extra flights per week, bringing the total from North America to London to over 400. British Airways offers 26 direct routes from different United States cities to London.

Some of the highlights include an extra seven flights per week from Miami, FL, to London, including the opening of a brand new lounge at Miami International Airport in 2025. The airline will also launch an extra six flights per week from Austin, Texas to London, three more per week from Las Vegas, and seven more from Washington, D.C. (IAD). 

“We continue to grow our network and these additional services across the US reflect the growing demand for travel to and from London. We are committed to providing our customers with greater choice and convenience, and we are excited to offer more opportunities for them to experience our world-class service,” British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer Neil Chernoff said in the release. 

British Airways confirmed all of the flights are now available for booking on their website. 

The news comes as British Airways recently announced a partnership agreement with Alaska Airlines, where both airlines will sell each other’s tickets and make it easier to book a journey. Frequent flyers will also get reciprocal loyalty benefits, as British Airways are both members of the Oneworld Alliance. 

Traveling to the United Kingdom next year will be slightly more expensive, as the government will launch a £10, or approximately $13.05, fee associated to the new Electronic Travel Authorization program.
