Miami native Wyatt Casper prepares for PBR World Finals

MIAMI, Texas (KFDA) – The PBR World Finals start tomorrow in Fort Worth, and one of the Panhandle’s very own will be competing.

Wyatt Casper is a saddle bronc rider from Miami. He’s ranked #4 in the world in saddle bronc riding.

We caught up with him on Wednesday to talk about his Panhandle roots.

“I say Texans are probably the most proud people that there is, of where they’re from,” Casper said. “It’s really prideful being here, from the Panhandle. The whole region, they all support rodeos. You go to any rodeo, it’s always packed out, and there’s nothing better.”

Casper has qualified for the National Finals Rodeo for four straight years and has earned nearly $1 million over the course of his career.

Last year, he finished 10th in the world standings. It was his fifth year in a row in the top-15 and second year of his career in the top-five.
