Michigan Central concert to stream on Peacock
“Live from Detroit: The Concert at Michigan Central” will stream Thursday on Peacock, giving those unable to get free tickets another option.
In an email to subscribers, NBCUniversal’s streaming service included the concert in its June drops for sports and live events. Organizers had said the concert would be streamed.
The 90-minute concert “headlined by some of Detroit’s biggest stars” will feature short films, appearances by local leaders and creators telling stories of innovation and culture.
Free tickets for the concert were claimed within minutes of becoming available.
Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 8:30 p.m. Thursday. It’s not clear if Peacock will stream the concert live at precisely that time.
Organizers haven’t announced performers. The concert is produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, an Emmy-winning production company that has produced Super Bowl Halftime Shows.
