Michigan’s Best Travel Deals: Get a free night at this Up North resort

Mid-summer can mean packed campsites, busy resort towns and lots of vacation traffic. But it can also mean some short-notice travel deals, if you know where to find them.

A couple of our favorite Up North spots have some vacation specials, but they’ve got fast expiration dates. So if you like them, snag them before the deadlines.

Crystal Mountain: This four-season resort in Thompsonville, just a short drive from Frankfort and Traverse City, has announced a flash sale on overnight accommodations for $159 per night.

“Now through August 1, enjoy lodging at Crystal Mountain starting at just $159 per night* on select dates. This special offer must be reserved by July 11, 2024.”

Dates for this deal include July 10, 11, 14, 17, 18, 21, 22, 23, 31 and Aug. 1.
