Hesson Aces Oxbow

Josh Hesson, of Marietta, had a hole-in-one at Oxbow Golf Course using a 5-iron to ace hole No. 7, a 198-yard par 3.

His feat was witnessed by Phi Chen, Chloe Chen and Scott Tanner.

Williamstown Football Steak Fry

Williamstown football’s annual Outback Steak Fry is set for Aug. 13 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Williamstown Middle High School cafeteria.

Tickets are $20 for the dinner, which includes steak, chicken, baked potato, salad, bread, dessert, and a drink.

Tickets are available from any football team member and at Haircutters, Williamstown High School and at the door.

Williamstown High School Meet the Team

Williamstown High School’s Meet the Team event is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Aug. 17. The high school football team will scrimmage earlier that same day at 11 a.m.

Jackson Cross Country Practice

Jackson Middle School cross country practice will get underway from 8-9:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5 at the school. All sixth, seventh and eighth graders are welcome to join. Student-athletes must have a current physical on file to participate.
