Miller named Ohio Valley Business and Professional Woman of the Year
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio Valley Business and Professional Women’s Club hosted its annual Wine and Shoe Extravaganza on Thursday night at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville.
This event raises money for local scholarships and three scholarships are given out each year to help with the cost of education.
“Scholarships are open to any Ohio Valley senior who will be pursuing education, whether that be a college or trade school, women going back to school, they have had to left school and entered the work force and have decided maybe it is not something they want to do or wanted to pursue something new and we are there to help them with those funds,” OVBPW member Amelia Taggart said.
Attendees had the chance to vote on their favorite shoes, celebrity servers and woman of the year.
The 2024 Ohio Valley Business and Professional Woman of the Year was Judge Michelle Miller.
“Based upon the nominees that were presented tonight, it is truly an honor not only to be in the company of such great successful women, but to be nominated by a women’s organization,” Miller said. “It’s truly an honor.”
