Miller strengthens Sports and Entertainment business presence in Asia with key appointment – Reinsurance News

Miller, an independent specialist in (re)insurance broking has appointed Siva Krishnan as Head of Sports and Entertainment, Asia, as the firm expands its Sports and Entertainment business into the Asia-Pacific region.

With over 25 years of experience in the sports industry, Siva has spent the last three years as an independent sports business consultant.

His extensive background includes roles in Sports Business and Events Management, where he managed insurance procurement and integrated insurance clauses into event contracts.

His previous positions include roles at the Singapore Sports Council and ESPN STAR Sports.

Siva’s appointment aligns with Miller’s strategy to grow its Sports and Entertainment team by extending its specialised services into new regions.

Tim Nagle, Head of Sports and Entertainment, commented: “This marks an exciting step forward for both Miller and our Sports and Entertainment offering.

In the APAC region, the focus will be on Live Events, Sporting Events and Tours, Sports Associations, and Film & TV.

This appointment follows a series of senior hires by Miller in Asia, including Edward Cheak’s recent appointment as Head of Credit and Political Risk Insurance, Asia.
