Millions expected to travel for Thanksgiving; tips for flying safely

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – As millions prepare to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday, KSLA News 12 wants to encourage everyone to travel safely regardless of how you’re getting to your destination.

Homeland Security visited Shreveport Regional Airport Thursday, Nov. 21 to share holiday travel safety tips. They said two days before Thanksgiving, and the Sunday after the holiday are the busiest travel days nationwide.

But the local law will pertain to that situation.”

Solid food items are allowed through a checkpoint, however, if it is spillable, spreadable, sprayable, pumpable, or pourable, and larger then 3 point 4 ounces, then it must go inside a checked bag.
