Minnesota adds 1,000 jobs in March
MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) – March was a month of job growth for the state of Minnesota.
According to data released this morning from the Department of Employment and Economic Development, 11,000 jobs were gained with 3,000 workers joining the labor force last month.
The Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area saw modest gains in March, with a 0.3% job growth from February.
In the last year, the Mankato MSA has grown in all industry sectors, with the highest gain in government jobs at a 1.7% increase.
Minnesota’s unemployment rate sits at 2.7% last month, lower than the national rate of 3.8%.
