Miss Louisiana’s Teen wins talent contest; she and Miss Louisiana headed for pageant finals
Miss Louisiana’s Teen Melissa Le’s showstopping performance won her a preliminary talent award and $3,000 on Thursday night at Miss America’s Teen Pageant in Orlando, Florida.
Le will compete in the pageant’s finals at 7 p.m. Saturday. In addition, Miss Louisiana Olivia Grace George will vie in the Miss America finals at 7 p.m. Sunday.
This week, pageant participants and attendees have had a packed schedule, including the National “Little Sisters” Tea Party, Celebration Gala Dinner, and the Expo held daily at the venue. Following the finals, celebratory coronation parties will cap off each evening’s events, all taking place at the Walt Disney Theater.
“Every step I take this week is to represent and honor my home state. Louisiana, no words will ever be enough. I send my love to you,” Le posted, reflecting on the recent tragedy in New Orleans.
