St. Louis – The Missouri Jobs with Justice End-of-Year-Party drew a packed house Dec. 4 to celebrate another year of the organization fighting for working people in Missouri, including canvassing for the Missourians for Healthy Families and Fair Wages initiative, which resulted in the placement of Proposition A, raising the minimum wage and providing paid sick time for all Missouri workers on the November ballot. The Labor-endorsed measure passed with nearly 60 percent of the vote. The End-of-Year party took place at the Painters District Council 58 union hall in St. Louis, and included food and drinks, fun and solidarity. – Labor Tribune photos
