MNF open thread: Buccaneers-Chiefs gambling lines and picks for tonight’s game

Week 9 wraps up with a matchup between a couple of playoff contenders in each conference as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Buccaneers’ receiving corps has taken some hits lately with Chris Godwin suffering a season-ending broken ankle and Mike Evans nursing a hamstring injury. That’s not ideal for Baker Mayfield and Tampa Bay’s offense heading into a tough contest on the road. But Mayfield did manage to throw for 330 yards and three touchdowns without Godwin and Evans last week. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs look to remain the NFL’s lone undefeated team.

This is your place to discuss the game with other Las Vegas Raiders fans and any gambling picks you have as the lines below are provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

Buccaneers vs. Chiefs

  • Spread: KC -9.5
  • O/U: 45.5
  • KC ML: -450
  • TB ML: +350

Holder’s picks: TB +9.5, Over 45.5, KC ML

Kansas City should have no problems winning this one, but by two possessions? I have a hard time buying that. The Chiefs’ offense hasn’t been good this season and I think the Buccaneers can at least score enough points to keep up. That being said, I still have a hard time seeing Tampa pull off the upset without Godwin and possibly Evans in the lineup.

For the injury report, the Buccaneers have ruled the following players out: long snapper Evan Deckers (hamstring), wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) and defensive tackle Greg Gaines (calf). Meanwhile, safety Nazeeh Johnson (concussion), wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring), defensive end Michael Danna (pectoral) and tight end Jared Wiley (knee) are out for the Chiefs.
