Monday Night Football open thread: Titans-Dolphins, Seahawks-Lions gambling lines and picks for tonight’s games

Week 4 in the NFL wraps up with another doubleheader on Monday Night Football as the Tennessee Titans take on the Miami Dolphins and the Seattle Seahawks face the Detroit Lions.

This is your place to discuss the game with other Las Vegas Raiders fans and any gambling picks you have as the lines below are provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

Titans vs. Dolphins

  • Spread: MIA -2.5
  • O/U: 37.5
  • MIA ML: -146
  • TEN ML: +124

Holder’s picks: MIA -2.5, Over 37.5, MIA ML

This is a tough game to pick as neither team has given us much reason to like them. The Dolphins will be starting third-string quarterback Tyler Huntley while Will Levis has seemingly driven his head coach crazy every game so far this season. However, Miami still has a strong running game which should be able to take advantage of a Jeffery Simmons-less Tennessee defense, assuming Simmons doesn’t play.

For the injury report, the Titans have ruled Simmons (elbow) as doubtful while cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (NIR) and safety Amani Hooker (face) are questionable. Meanwhile, the Dolphins will be without left tackle Terron Armstead (concussion) and cornerback Kendall Fuller (concussion). Linebacker David Long (hamstring) is doubtful while running back Raheem Mostert (chest), quarterback Skylar Thompson (ribs) and wide receiver Malik Washington (quadricep) are questionable.

Seahawks vs. Lions

  • Spread: Lions -4.5
  • O/U: 46.5
  • DET ML: -210
  • SEA ML: +176

Holder’s picks: DET -4.5, Under 46.5, DET ML

Originally, I wanted to go with the Seahawks here as I like what Mike Macdonald has done so far. However, Seattle’s defense is way too beat up to face an offense with as much firepower as Detroit’s with several key pass-rushers/defensive linemen out tonight. Plus, while the Seahawks are 3-0, they haven’t played anyone good yet so I think the Lions get the job done at home and win by roughly a touchdown.

For the injury report, outside linebackers Boye Mafe (knee) and Uchenna Nwosu (knee) and defensive tackles Byron Murphy II (hamstring) and Leonard Williams (ribs) are out for the Seahawks while linebacker Jerome Baker (hamstring) is questionable. The Lions will be without center Frank Ragnow (pectoral) while cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (hamstring) is questionable.
