Montgomery business prepares gear for Tide fans after Iron Bowl win
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Auburn and Alabama fans across the state had their passion for their chosen team on full display Saturday.
There were only two things in the air in Tuscaloosa: the smell of barbeque and animosity, to put it lightly.
While both teams crave a win, fans from both sides say it hasn’t been their best season.
Regardless of how the teams perform all season, an Iron Bowl win means one year of bragging rights for the champions, and this year, it’s the Crimson Tide.
When the winner is declared, American Klassic Designs in Montgomery gets to work. The shirt shop has printed thousands of shirts for the Iron Bowl for 25 years, and this season is no different.
“It will be 3,600 shirts tonight, and then another re-run on Monday morning,” said AKD Vice President Alex Taylor.
When the clock strikes zero in the fourth quarter, the shirt design company punches in the score and prints the design.
Bama Fever Tiger Pride in Eastchase is one of the local stores that will carry the 2024 Iron Bowl shirt.
