More than 2 dozen business closings across Pa.: restaurants, banks and more
Several businesses have announced location closings recently in Pennsylvania, including numerous banks, restaurants and retailers.
The list below includes 27 locations across the Keystone State that have closed or will close soon.
This list is published on PennLive several times a year. PennLive’s most recent list of business closings was published on Oct. 22.
Adams County
Mt. Joy Township
The Primitive Daughter, Gettysburg
The company said on its Facebook page that it will close its store at the Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg in February.
Allegheny County
Pittsburgh
Citizens Bank plans to close its branch at 4570 Fifth Ave., according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Beaver County
Economy
The branch at 1685 W. State St. will close, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Potter Township
The expandable polystyrene manufacturer is closing its facility at 400 Frankfort Road and 140 people will be laid off. The company expects to cease all production at the location in January. The layoffs will take place beginning on Jan 3. Layoffs will continue to take place to complete the activities necessary to permanently idle the facility by early 2026.
Bucks County
Middletown Township
The bank plans to close the branch inside Giant at 168 N. Flowers Mill Road, Suite A, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Butler County
Jackson Township
The Illinois-based truckload carrier, one of the largest transportation contractors associated with the United States Postal Service, has closed. The terminal at 2470 Evans City Road closed on Sept. 9.
Chester County
Birmingham Township
The bank plans to close the branch at the Giant at 1393 Wilmington Pike, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Cumberland County
Hampden Township
The restaurant at 4890 Carlisle Pike at the Hampden Centre closed on Nov. 3.
Mechanicsburg
The restaurant and pub at 398 N. York St. has closed, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
“It’s been an honor serving the community for the past 5 years. It is with great sadness to announce – Friday, November 8th will be our last day of operation,” the restaurant said on its Facebook page.
Dauphin County
Derry Township
Harvest at the Hotel Hershey announced that it will close after brunch on Jan. 5 to facilitate a transformation. Harvest will reopen in spring 2025 with a new dining and tavern experience, according to the message on its website. Harvest opened in 2009. The 150-seat restaurant operates in a separate building from the hotel and advertises “Genuine American Cuisine.”
Lower Paxton Township
The restaurant at the Colonial Park Mall closed. The venue opened last fall at the former Buffalo Wild Wings. Its menu fused Nepali, Indian and American flavors.
The store at the Colonial Park Mall announced on its Facebook page that it expects to close on Dec. 1.

Marple Township
The bank plans to close its branch at Giant at 2180 West Chester Pike, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Fayette County
Georges Township
Berkley Medical Resources
The company is closing its non-woven wiper plant at Fayette Business Park, 700 Mountain View Drive. The plant will close by Dec. 31 with manufacturing ending on Nov. 27 and warehousing and distribution closing on Dec. 31.
Lancaster County
Ephrata
Piano manufacturer, Steinway & Sons acquired Jacobs Music and is closing the store at 1391 W. Main St.
Montgomery County
Collegeville
Wells Fargo will close the branch at 222 E. Main St., according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Lower Providence Township
The bank will close its branch at the Giant at 2668 Egypt Road, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Philadelphia County
Philadelphia
The bank plans to close the branch at 920 South St., according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
The bank plans to close its branches at 2497 Aramingo Ave., and at the Acme at 2101-41 Cottman Ave., according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Piano manufacturer, Steinway & Sons acquired Jacobs Music and is closing the store at 1718 Chestnut St. The location will close for a time, and then reopen at a later date as Steinway & Sons.
PNC plans to close the branch at 230 S. Broad St., according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Venango County

PNC Bank plans to close its branch at 1165 Liberty St., according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Washington County
Charleroi
Glassware and dishware company Corelle Brands, formerly known as Instant Brands, is closing the facility at 100 Eighth St., and 270 people will be laid off. The layoffs will take place between Dec. 9 and Feb. 17.
Westmoreland County
New Kensington
The bank plans to close its branch at 200 Tarentum Bridge Road, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
York County
Dillsburg
Citizens Bank plans to close its branch at 4 S. Baltimore St., according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s weekly bulletin.
Fairview Township
The diner closed on Nov. 6 at 146 Sheraton Drive off Interstate 83. The restaurant said on its Facebook page that its lease ends in late December.
“After 15 years proudly serving the central Pennsylvania community we will be sadly closing our doors on November 6th,” the restaurant said in a message on Facebook. “Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support for helping make our dream a reality these past 15 years. We will miss everyone!”
