More than 400 new jobs coming to Knoxville as HVAC company announces 0 million investment

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – An HVAC company based out of Wisconsin announced it will build a corporate campus in Knoxville.

Greenheck Group announced plans to create 440 new, high-paying jobs in Knoxville and a $300 million investment in Knox County on Monday with the construction of its fourth corporate campus.

“Tennessee is a pro-business state, and we invest in our workforce so that companies like Greenheck Group have a surplus of skilled workers,” said Gov. Bill Lee. “I welcome Greenheck Group to Tennessee and thank this company for creating hundreds of jobs for the families across the Greater Knoxville region.”

The corporate campus will include manufacturing and warehousing facilities as well as a main office and dedicated space for training and research and development.

“I am thrilled to welcome Greenheck Group to Knox County,” said Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs. “This type of economic growth not only creates new jobs but will also boost our overall prosperity. As excited as we are when a company joins our community, it becomes all the more important when that company is out to do more than simply operate a business. Greenheck Group is seeking to become a citizen of our community by enriching the area it is in and driving positive outcomes for everyone involved.”

Greenheck Group specializes in manufacturing industrial ventilation equipment, which can be found in schools, malls, office spaces and industrial plants.

It currently employs more than 5,000 people across the world.

“Knoxville’s innovative spirit aligns with the values our founders, the Greenheck brothers, established more than 75 years ago. Our investment in this new campus supports our unwavering commitment to our customers, our team members and the communities in which we are blessed to be part of. We couldn’t be more excited to become part of the vibrant Knoxville community, which provides not only strategic proximity to our customers, but also talented people, outstanding community partners and a welcoming culture,” said Greenheck Group CEO Rich Totzke.

The 440 jobs it is bringing to Knoxville will have an average salary of $75,300, as discussed in Monday’s County Commission meeting. It is also expected to bring an additional 520 indirect jobs to Knox County.
