A group of four coworkers have claimed a $1 million prize for matching the first five numbers in a Mega Millions drawing, according to the New York Lottery.
The four coworkers are from Lancaster, Cheektowaga and Depew. They matched the numbers on March 15, 2024, according to lottery officials.
The ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, located at 5821 Broadway in Lancaster, N.Y.
They opted to split the prize evenly with each receiving $250,000, before required withholdings. After withholdings, they each received $162,750.
The winners include: Keven Stoerr of Lancaster; Zachary Heberlein of Lancaster; Bradley Borowczyk of Depew; and Robert Reinhard III of Cheektowaga.
The winning numbers for that evening were: 13, 25, 50, 51, 66 and Mega Ball 6.
Winning numbers for the Mega Millions game are drawn from a field of one to 70. The Mega Ball number is drawn from a separate field of one to 25. In order to win the jackpot, players must match all five white balls in any order and the gold Mega Ball number.
