‘Nana’s Kitchen’ opens for business in Kennewick’s Columbia Garden
KENNEWICK, WA. – Folks across the Tri-Cities are getting a new food destination to make a pit stop at; Nana’s Kitchen.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday, Sept. 6 at Columbia Gardens in Kennewick for the grand opening of Nana’s Kitchen, a food truck specializing in breakfast and lunch style options from waffles and muffins to sandwiches and burgers with glazed donuts for buns.
The owners tell us this opening was 12 years in the making and say they’re excited for customers to see the unique spin on the choices of food.
“It pretty much gives you the whole sweet savory delicious options across your board and my truck will give you diabetes,” said Christina Schwartz, the Owner & Executive chef of Nana’s Kitchen. “There is nothing healthy here for you. It is about comfort food and just making people happy.”
Schwartz, who has worked as a chef in the Tri-Cities for more than 14 years, says the food truck is a dedication to her mom.
More than two dozen community members and city leaders attended the ceremony and got to enjoy some of the unique dishes as well as get merchandise.
Nana’s kitchen is open every day from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
