National Youth Physical Fitness Championship set for May 18th

Representatives from 13 schools across the country, over 200 Marine JROTC cadets, and representatives from the Arkansas Military and First Responders Academy (AMFRA) will be participating in the National Youth Physical Fitness Championship, hosted by AMFRA.

Maine JROTC cadets will compete in five different events: crunches, push-ups, standing long jump, pull-ups, and a 300-yard shuttle run.

The Youth Physical Fitness program is funded by the U.S. Marines Youth Foundation, engaging youth in physical activity, competition, and personal growth, as well as introducing them to challenges, goal achievement and positive role model exposure.

The event is set to take place May 18 at 8 a.m. at the Arkansas Military and First Responders Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas.
