About Us:
Navy Hill, founded by two friends, Jenny Lucas and Katie Williams, is a better-for-you beverage brand that sells premium cocktail mixers and ready-to drink tequila soda canned cocktails. The brand is sold at retailers including Whole Foods, Wegmans, Giant, Harris Teeter, The Fresh Market, Total Wine, and Kroger. Navy Hill started selling their non-alcoholic cocktail mixers in 2016 and launched their premium RTD tequila sodas last year. The RTDs are a low 4% ABV, low calorie and made with real tequila. They currently have RTD distribution in Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Massachusetts and Rhode Island with Georgia, Florida, New York and Tennessee in the works. The brand was featured on the How She Made It segment of the Today Show and won Southern Living’s Best Drink Award.There is a ton of opportunity in this role for increased responsibility and promotion in our fast growing company. Job Description:
- Cultivate relationships with key managers/buyers at target accounts
- Manage on-premises and off-premises account relationships (a minimum 40 account visits a week)
- Regular account visits to existing and new accounts
- Regular sales calls to existing and new accounts
- Create, schedule, and execute off-premises samplings, on-premises events and programming, and festivals
- Manage time and priorities in an effective and efficient manner; track and monitor progress via Monday.com
- Responsible for growth and maintenance of both the on and off premise sales within the territory and must be comfortable selling alcohol and non-alc products
- Identify and create new business opportunities to increase sales volume, product distribution and market share within the assigned territory for both on and off premise
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals as discussed with leadership
- Increase shelf facings, positioning and secure off-shelf and secondary product placement in existing accounts
- Develop relationships with grocery managers in regional stores
- Spot check chain accounts in territory bi-weekly or monthly to ensure proper product placement, merchandising, POS material, price, and stock availability. Fill shelves from backstock when applicable.
- Meet monthly with key distributor personnel to discuss current performance and develop plans to reach our shared goals
- Develop and maintain close relationships with distributor contacts
- Conduct ride-along visits allowed with local distributing partners monthly
- Coordinate and conduct product tasting demos and events to deliver greater brand awareness and stimulate sales
- Assist co-founders or represent the company in a professional manner at various industry trade shows, distributor shows and other beverage related events.
Job Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in management, hospitality or a similar field preferred
- 1-4 years of industry-relative experience
- Able to demonstrate experience in sales, persuasion, negotiating, and managing key accounts
- Strong verbal and presentation skills
- Self starter who is effective at time management and prioritizing
- Background check required
- References are a must
- Overnight and weekend travel will be required
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs on occasion
- Experience in CPG, beverage or alcohol sales is preferred
- Candidate lives or will relocate to Virginia, but must be willing to travel to other markets as needed.
Compensation:
- Base salary + quarterly commissions and potential year end performance bonus
- Compensation is predominantly commission driven – sky is the limit!
