NCAA baseball tournament 2024: Regional picks, predictions on road to College World Series
The road to the College World Series begins this weekend and runs through 16 regional sites in the 2024 NCAA baseball tournament. Tennessee seeks to become the first No. 1 overall seed to win the national championship in 25 years as it embarks on postseason play, but its path to immortality is no cakewalk as the 64-team field presents myriad challenges. The action gets underway with Friday’s 32 games and runs through mid-June, when a national champion will be crowned.
The SEC is well-represented in the 2024 field as the Volunteers headline a record 11 teams from the proud conference. Kentucky, Texas A&M, Georgia and Arkansas also earned national seeds and secured hosting rights through the super regionals. As such, the biggest stars from the nation’s best teams will be out in full force over the coming weeks.
Ahead of what promises to be a thrilling postseason, our trio of Carter Bahns, Will Backus and Jacob Rudner convened to analyze the 16 regionals and pick the super-regional representatives from each of those sites.
