NDSU Soccer Hosts Weber State, Travels to Minnesota – NDSU

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State welcomes in Weber State on Thursday, September 12 to Dacotah Field before hitting the road for the final non-conference game at Minnesota on Sunday, September 15. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. against Weber State at Dacotah Field before a 1 p.m. kickoff against the Gophers in St. Paul.
 
Game Coverage
Thursday’s contest will be streamed live on the Summit League Network through the Midco Sports Plus App and also will have live statistics. Sunday’ game at Minnesota will be streamed on B1G+. Links for all coverage are available via gobison.com.
 
The Series
The Bison will face Weber State for the fourth time in program history, but the first since 2017. NDSU is 0-2-1 against the Wildcats with a pair of 1-0 losses in Ogden. In the only other meeting in Fargo, the teams tied 0-0.
 
NDSU and Minnesota will face for the ninth time in the series, with the Gophers claiming all eight matches dating back to 2004. It is the first meeting since 2018.
 
Wrapping Last Week
The Bison picked up a scoreless tie against Idaho State on Sunday, despite outnumbering the Bengals 19-6 in shots. NDSU hit the post twice and also had a goal disallowed for offsides. Payton Mulberry made five saves for the cleansheet.
 
Cleansheets Piling Up
NDSU picked up its fourth cleansheet of the season on Sunday in game seven. Last season the Bison finished with six total. NDSU recorded shutouts in three-straight matches, earlier this season at Green Bay, against Alabama State and at Hawaii Pacific. It was the first time in nearly two years with the last consecutive shutout run coming in mid-September of 2022. All three NDSU keepers had a cleansheet during the streak.
 
What’s Next?
North Dakota State returns home to Dacotah Field for the non-conference finale, as the Bison welcome in Saint Ambrose on Friday, September 20. The Bison are set to kick off at 6 p.m. on Family and Homecoming Weekend, with Senior Night festivities after the game.
